How do I prepare my items to sell?

Items should be clean, pressed and on size appropriate

hangers, with the hook of the hanger opening to the left,

making a "?" as you hold the hanger out in front of you.

Shoes should be in EXCELLENT condition.  There is a maximum of 5 pairs of shoes per consignor.  Shoes DO NOT need to be in plastic bags.

How should I size my items?

  • For children's clothing please size with a number not a size small, medium or large.
  • For junior/adult clothing, tops, dresses, athletic wear please size x-small, small, medium or large.  For bottoms (pants,  shorts, skirts) please use a numerical size.

GIRLS

  • XS = 4
  • S = 6
  • M = 8
  • L = 10/12
  • XL = 14/16

BOYS

  • XS = 4/6
  • S = 8
  • M =10
  • L = 12
  • XL = 14/16

JR/LADIES JEAN SIZE CHART

  • 25” – Size 0
  • 26” – Size 2
  • 27” – Size 4
  • 28” – 29” – Size 6
  • 30” – Size 8
  • 31” - 32” – Size 10
  • 33” – 34” – Size 12

Some tips when entering sizes:

  • Toddler sizes should go under the number, ex. 3T select size 3
  • Double sizes like 8/10 should be categorized under the smaller size, ex 8/10 – select size 8.
  • We do not allow kids clothing to be labeled Small, Medium or Large.  Children’s Clothes that are sized by S, M, L on the label need a numerical size.  You can use our size charts for estimates or think about what size your child was when wearing that item.

Is there a minimum price?

  • Yes, there is a $5 minimum price for all items.
  • Items should have a minimum $5 resale value.
  • We will not accept items grouped together to make it worth $5.

How do I enter my items?

Our on-line system makes it quick and easy to enter your items and print your inventory sheet and tags.

Enter Your Items Here

  • Sort your items by gender and size
  • Next, click on the "CONSIGN HERE" tab.
  • You will then be able to enter your items and schedule your drop-off appointment on-line.
  • When you finish entering your items, you will need to print your inventory sheet and bring this with you to drop-off.
  • Print your tags on white cardstock (no colored cardstock please). This helps the tag stay secured to the item much better than paper.

How should I price items?

  • When pricing your items, a good rule of thumb is to consider what you would be willing to pay for the used item.
  • Items should be priced 1/4 to 1/3 of the retail price, depending on condition and demand.
  • As a general rule, items sell for about 25 - 40% of the retail price. Some more in demand and new items can go for almost 40 - 75% of the retail price, depending on condition and style.
  • Price your items to sell, don’t think I’ll price it high and then it will sell ½ price. We have a lot more traffic and a lot more shopping opportunities full price. If a shopper really loves the item, and it’s not priced too high, they won’t chance waiting for it to go ½ price.

Are there any other requirements?

  • A minimum of 10 acceptable items is required for anyone wanting to shop the Consignors Pre-Sale.
  • Check your items carefully for holes, stains or excessive wear.
  • All 2 piece items must be secured together, preferably with safety pins.

How do I tag my items?

  • White card stock is to be used when printing your tags, this can be purchased through Walmart or OfficeMax/Office Depot.
  • If you would prefer to not buy the card stock, you can choose to print your tags as a PDF and send them to Fed-Ex Office or Office Depot/OfficeMax and have them print them for you.  They also offer a cutting service and can cut your tags for you.
  • If you are printing your tags from a Mac, do not use Firefox while printing, for some reason this causes tags to print wrong.
  • Items can be tagged using a tagging gun, tape or safety pins, Do Not use straight pins.
